My tree file won't load — what should I do?
Make sure you're loading a .json file that was saved from FamilyTreeFreeMaker.com. If you're getting an error, try a different browser (Chrome or Firefox work best). If the problem persists, use the contact form above and describe what's happening.
Can I recover a tree I forgot to save?
Unfortunately, no. Because all data is stored locally in your browser, we have no server-side copy to recover. We strongly recommend saving your tree regularly using the "Save tree" button (or Ctrl+S).
How do I suggest a new feature?
Use the contact form above and select "Feature request" as the subject. We read every suggestion and prioritize the most frequently requested improvements.
How long does it take to get a reply?
We aim to respond to all messages within 2–3 business days. Bug reports affecting core functionality are prioritized.
